I have noticed that quite a efw recurves I am scoping out have an x or two eith in front or behind the pull weight...what does this mean?

Like XX45,that would be 43#,X45 would be 44#.Usally the actual weight is written under the side plate.Same would go for 45X is 46#.It's just the way they marked them back then most of the time.
