Have Arrows, Need Broadheads

Ok Guys,
I have have 2315's and 2219's, XX78 Aluminum Arrows. I am shooting 60#/28" from a Bob Lee Recurve. My arrows are cut to 29", they both seem to be spined a little heavy. But since I have these arrows, I thought about using a heavy broadhead to lower the spine. What gr. broadhead would work best, any suggestions. I am having trouble location anything heavier than 160 gr.

2219's spine 98#@28", unless you Bob Lee is cut past center at the shelf no amount of point weight is going to make it correct!

Hey Bob,
What about Carbon Maxima's, 250 series at 29"?
I have a few of those as well. I also have some Easton ACC's from about 10 years ago. I think they are the 360's. I am new to the traditional bows, but hoping I can still use what arrows I have from the compound days.

I don't have a clue about carbon sizes and spines. I've tried to keep as far away from those as I can. Because there are so few sizes in the carbon shafts you have to tune them to the bow, so wether they will work for you depends on how long they are and what points are available. Sorry I can't help there.

Everything you mentioned sounds stiff to me, not saying it can't be done but it won't be easy and there is a high possibility the end result will only be adequate.
Most any 160 grain head with a long adapter will get you 200 grains, I personally wouldn't want to try more than that and even tuning that can be tricky.
You might save yourself a lot of frustration by just plunking down for some properly spined arrows to start with.

Try a 100 gr broadhead adapter and a 160 grizzly for 260 grns up front. Frank

I am thinking about trying some 2018's. According to some of the spine charts I a have looked at that might be the way to go. Any suggestions?

What's your true draw lenght? I shoot a Wes Wallace 60# @29" and when I bare shaft tested it 2219 w/125 gr point 30" BOP, tested perfect. Bare shaft test cuts out all the guessing... It will let you know right away whats going on ( to stiff or to weak) not everyone falls into the same set-up. I have always shot a stiffer spine than my friend. We both shoot the same set up and have the same draw lenght. My.02 worth

What Desert Dude said - but
DONT
do that with broadheads! Never! They will go in any direction!
I have some 2317 where I use 160gr Bhds on but only 145gr field points  I certainly have a tendency to short draw with Bhds ...
However, as you said yourself, you already have these shafts and I would at least do some testing befor abandon (?word) them. 200gr sounds not to bad for me ...
