Does anyone hunt with them? What do you use for broadheads? Thanks for looking!

hey aussieman,i have made only three of them.i am going to hunt with them this year.at least a couple of times.i got mine from rudder bows.they came with hardwood footings.i had to drill a hole in the point end to insert the footing.this wasn't to hard to do.i then cut a notch and glued in a steel trade point.i beleive i got the trade points from them also.after i glued the point in i lashed it on with a single stand of an old bow string.with the hardwood footing you could taper the end for a different kind of broadhead if you wanted to.i just liked the looks of the trade point.you can get trade points from three rivers also.if you send me your email address i will send you a pic when my woman gets home.i don't know how to put pics on here.good luck, steve

You can glue in a bamboo skewer, and taper for glue on points. This is easy to do, and has the added benefit of reinforcing the shaft at the point, so it won't split when you hit something with it.
