None.

At least until the bulls are screaming and then I use a mouth reed locate bugle and then only cow call when in close.  To many people calling way to much, way to early, and way to loud has really screwed up the calling my neck of the woods.  I blame the horn porn videos for all the newbies thinking it always works.

I use three that I like. Two single diaphrams- one is high pitched dome type the other a non-dome with a more mellow, mature sound. And a double diaphram, dome type,  that is great for screams, estrus, and some other stuff. I use them all.

like the others, find the diaphragm that works best for you.  if you have to choose just one, a double reed diaphragm will do it all.

though, I've always got a few different ready for different situations.
