New Bow, Need Arrows

I wanted to get some arrow recommendations for my new recurve.  It is a 60 inch GN Ghost 51 lbs @ 28.  My draw is 26.5 so not quite for sure of my weight.  Anyway, I am wanting to get carbon arrows preferrably gold tip.  Which size should I get and what weight broadhead/field tip?

To determine your weight simply take 28" minus your brace height and divide 51# by that number. This will give you a fairly accurate weight.
Example; 28- 7(brace hgt.)= 21   51/21= 2.43# per inch. 28"-26.5"= 1.5" X 2.43= 3.65#
51#-3.65= 47.35# or 47#'s at your draw length. I don't know anything about carbon arrows so I would advise you to go to Stu Millers Dynamic spine Calculator.Hope this helps.

I don't know about the GN Ghost, how the shelf is cut and what your limb lams are, but you are likely using a FF string of some sort. I am shooting Centaurs with carbon lams, very fast limbs.

I have the same draw (if measuring from the string to the deepest part of the grip at full draw) and shoot the same weight. I am using Gold Tip 3555 Trad arrows, regular insert and 175 grain points. I cut them to 28", as at 27.5" I feel the back of the broadhead with my bow hand. They seem just a little weak, but lighter tips would cure that.

I just got into carbons last year. For aluminums I use 2013 to 2016 shafts with the same points. Hope this helps.

I have been shooting a Gold Tip 55/75 cut 28.5 with a 125 point and it seems to shoot fine.  I thought it might be a little stiff but have had good results.

35/55 GT shafts. The beauty of crabon is one shaft covers a 20# range. Ghosts are cut to center so that makes it even easier. Generally speaking going up or down a size in carbon is a dramatic difference for most of us. I should a 45# @ 28" Bushbow with full length 35/55 GT's. 145 grains up front and draw about 29".

With the 35/55 GT's cut around 28.5 would you think a 125 grain tip or up to a 145 grain tip?  Curious as to broadheads as well.

The Ghost is a power house, I would think you could get away with 125 gr's upfront. Stick with a longer feather as well, 5 or 5 1/2". They will weaken the spine up some also.

After doing a little research on different carbon arrows, those Beman MFX Classic arrows in a 500 spine maybe the ticket.

I agree. Good heavy arrows and the perfect spine for you. The Ghost I had was 59# @ 28" and i draw 29". I found heavier shafts to be better as far as calming the bow down. Those Bemans have some nice weight going for them w/o adding tubes or brass inserts.

Here is what I ended up with:  Gold Tip Traditional arrows full length.  50 grain brass insert, 125 grain point, 3 5 inch feathers, white wrap, and a gt nock.
