Thunderstick mag, my new bow
« on: September 18, 2010, 12:15:00 AM »
Okay folks, I sent out a deposit for a new to me Thunderstick Mag today. I have heard some good things about these bows. rholzie had a nice looking mag posted here and I jumped in with both feet. I will send the final funds on Thursday of next week. So since I have to wait anyway, can you please tell me your thoughts? I have never shot one of Jim's bows but have heard great things. I have been wanting a shorter bow to try and this must be it because I usually don't bite this fast. Tell me I made a good choice. Thank you in advance.

I seriously doubt that you could have done much better than any one of Jim's bows. He does wonders with all of his Thundersticks.

I have owned and shot each and every one of them over the years and there isn't but one I didn't get along with.
I think the fact that it was his recurve was my problem and not the fault of the bow.

I just happen to shoot bows that the string only touches in one place better than those that come in contact with the limb in more than one place.

Congratulations on a wise choice!

God bless,Mudd

He is on my short list of bows to get. Being a Michigan guy I try to keep it local and I need one from Jim and one from Northern Mist still.

I have a T Stick mag.  It is a slick quiet shooting bow.  I really enjoy shooting mine.
