Nice Goat Jeff. We were out earlier this year north of Billings and the numbers seemed way down. The FWP says heavy winter kill.

Great goat. The score should receive 10 bonus points for the circumstances of the hunt!

Ceme24,
Turn that dream into reality!  You should go antelope hunting. The license is very reasonable in WY, high populations and lots of fun. With WY's walk-in hunting area program there is also lots of accessible hunting ground. A good week is all you'd need to see lots of animals and if you hit it right, find water, time it for the rut, use decoys, etc. you would have a blast!

Had a very similar experience with my father a long time ago...

Congrats on a great buck!  Thanks for sharing it with us!

Funny addition to this story.   Last night my "buddy" called me and berated me for "throwing his partner under the bus" to the whole wide world.  We had a good laugh all over again.  I promised him he would remain nameless.  Also in his defense, last year I awoke from a nap to slurping sounds.... I peeked through the side flap and spied a nice buck walking away from the water.   Happens to best of us, (or worse) you be the judge.
PS  He said I better mind my P's and Q's because he's posting my next misadventure!  We leave for our next elk hunt tomorrow... should be fun.

Nice buck!  I personally don't think using the radio to see if your partner is awake is the same as using it to guide a stalk or something like that.  Next time I would at last give him a couple taps on the talk button to wake him up.
