BOWS ...TORNADO...ME
« on: September 23, 2010, 10:14:00 AM »
I was outside shooting my selfbow yesterday afternoon when all of a sudden.. Skys turned black and a "TWISTER" came to see us.... WHAT A RIDE!!! **** was flying everywhere... Took my garage doors off and did some roof damage... Trees down everywhere...(on cars and trucks) Anyway I'll tarp up everything today then off to Michigan for salmon fishing in the morning with 18 friends. When I get back I'll fix things and go deer hunting....I need it bad !!! lol .One good thing might have some "NEW" bow wood ...lol!

Almost as exciting a seeing a good buck, huh?  I also like your outlook.  Good luck fishing.

Wow two tornadoes in Ohio in one week.  Ohio of all places.  One came through northern Ross and Athens county just last Thursday.  A lot of cosmetic damage done by it as well but thankfuly no one hurt.  Glad everyones okay and glad that you can see the positive side of it.

The area I used to hunt in KY got hit by a twister and leveled a bunch of stuff.  I cut some new "hidden" paths with a saw and had my own private (on public land) deer highways for a while.

Glad you made it out.  I've been in one twister in Wisconsin years ago.  I was 17 and on vacation with my family.  Frightening...but exhilarating.  My parents were out in a boat fishing at the time.  They had large trees flying overhead.  We thought they were dead for a couple hours.  It pretty much ruined that vacation.

Good luck fishing!
Take a kid hunting!

We had one a few months back.  When I went out into my timber to check stands 2 weeks ago, I was shocked!  My timber did not look like my timber.  Man, tornados have power!!  Glad you are ok!
