Ron had a couple at the GLLI this summer and I got to check them out up close. It could be the perfect knife! Very well thought out design.

Thats where my next spendable 100 bones is goin!

Cecil, I purchased one from Ron and it was totally worth the money.  I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but hopefully will break it in this deer season.

I don't own one, but have messed around with one.....they are very nice. Ron won't sell anything he doesn't use himself.

I've been looking real hard at it myself. Just can't make a decision between it or the Lil Shaver. I don't typically go for larger knives but don't want to go too small either.

Hey, Ron, can I take one of each out on approval?? haha

After thirty years of knowing Ron, there's one thing I can take to the bank....that guy knows blades, period.  Ron brought both of his new skinners to the Shrewhaven workbee in August and the picture doesn't do them justice. When I looked at one of the blades, my finger started to bleed (ok, just a little exageration there) but man do they take an edge (of course Ron can put an edge on anything...his hatchet's are sharper than my knives).  Anyway, there was one well known bowyer that will go unknamed that told Ron he could be charging a lot more for his knives........I agree, but that's our gain.  You won't be disappointed with a LaClair knife.  I've got two of Ron's other knives he's offered over the years and they are well made and great designs and I think this is the best yet.

Ray is right...Ron knows knives. Ron can sharpen a knife better than anyone I ever met. If Ron is selling a knife, it is a great one!
