Took my son backpacking...check out these pics
« on: September 27, 2010, 12:16:00 AM »
Took my son on his first ever backpack trip. He's 13 and just loved it. We didn't do any hunting, although my son could have killed a marmot with his knife, but it was a great trip. here's some pics.

Great photos!

Those little Picas are weird critters. Pretty cool how they store up hay for the winter though.

Looks like you guys had a good time. I bet if you take your bows next time there would be some fun stump shooting up there.

What a great bonding experience. We do lots of outside stuff. His mom moved him to the big city and so because he gets to do this kinda stuff he is a bit of a hero among his friends. So many boys miss out!

I always enjoyed backpacking with my family. We had some great adventures. I wrecked my leg 10 years ago and the kids are all grown up, but I still have the pictures and memories.
