Opinions on fletching jig.
« on: September 27, 2010, 08:48:00 PM »
I am new to making arrows but have some nice straight multiflora rose shoots and some bamboo to start with.  Ive gotten pretty good at straightening them crooked buggers and plan to make some primitive style arrows with self nocks.  I have lots of turkey feathers  and sinew to use as well.

Just ordered a Bohning Jig and Clamps got the left and straight clamps.  I had a couple of Cabela's gift cards to use up so it was practically free.  Im not sure Im gonna like this arrow building thing but if my past experience is any indication I likely will have another hobby starting soon.  ;)

Would like to know what you think of the Bohning Jig if you have experience with them.  It was practically free so Im not out a lot ($5.95 shipping) so if it turns out its just a starter set I cant be too upset.
Hunt fair, hunt hard, no regrets.
