Something New
« on: September 30, 2010, 04:46:00 PM »
The Arkansas Bow Season opens tomorrow, and I'm off.  Going to spend the next 3 days in the woods.  I've taken deer with both firearm and bow, both compound and traditional.  But, this will be the first time, if successful, that I will take a deer with a traditional bow that I built myself.  I'm really excited about it, and can't wait for tomorrow to come.  It's really cool.  Good luck to everybody this weekend.

Use caution! Its contagious. My first kill with self-made bow was in 06. I'm an addict now and felt guilty last year even taking my great plains recurve out for a week while finishing a new bow. I was punished by missing 3 times when I got that bow done--its now retired, no mo-jo. Bow built in Feb. took its first animal in Aug. already.

Your turn.. go get'em brother
