Anybody have any luck in PA on Saturday?  I saw two does and a whole lot of squirrels.

I had a cool morning. I saw a Coyote stalking one of this years fawns. The deer came running towards me, stopped and looked behind it a couple of times, ran by me, stopped and looked again. Then I saw the Coyote about 50yds out. It was definitely focused on the deer. Once I realized what was playing out, shooting never occurred to me. About five minutes after they left, a jake turkey left it's roost, landed about three yards from me, spent about ten seconds on the ground with me before realizing I was there, then took off rather quickly for a turkey. Later that morning, in a spot fairly close to my original stand, 3 deer ran by me with what I assume was the same coyote in tow. That was a pretty good day.

I'd rather not talk about a doe that is running around unscathed in the same area.

I saw three deer all day   BUT   they were all LEGAL bucks     two, not much to write home about,  but one was prety nice.  He was a nice 8 pointer.    NO nearer  than 80 yards so no shot and same  with the other two .
My son saw 7 total all day     3 buck  4 does  all in the evening all near his ground stand     could have shot the does and yearlings  but held off knowing the bucks were there too   allin all a pretty good day and the weather was gorgeous

In the morning I seen 2 doe,1 buck, and I think another buck acting like he was in rut.It had it`s head down to the ground walking very fast across the cut corn field like it was on a scent trail.About 150yrds. away.(couldn`t tell if it had a rack)And I heard it grunting too.
In the evening I seen 5 doe,red fox, turkey. The one turkey roosted about 10 yrds. from me.

I'm in Allgeheny County and have been hunting for couple weeks now unsuccessfully (only seen a few deer far out of range). I took my first serious hunting trip into the acorns in the morning and randomly climbed a white oak in the dark.  The acorns are white hot!  I saw 21 deer in 2 hours.  One of which got an Abowyer through her heart in mid-crunch.  Also watched a dandy 5x5 bullying around some subordinates for 20 minutes. Perhaps we'll meet again at closer range sometime.

Not a deer on Saturday.  Have trail cam pix of a bear 5am Sat morning which may be why.  Kinda goofy as the yard deer weren't even around the last few days.

No luck yet.  My Saturday morning was cut short when my nephew arrowed a six point.  He was using a compound, but it was his first buck with a bow and I was glad to be there.  Saturday evening found us croweded out by other hunters.  I guess our secret hot spot wasn't so secret.  This morning I got wet.

Looking forward to next weekend.
