I haven't seen any comparisons on incremental force/deflection, aluminum vs carbon for various related sizings.
Carbons being generally lighter, might be more reactive to various shot release inputs (spined fine, just picky on the shooter).
Aluminum sure seems more forgiving.
That is, until you bounce the belly or backline on a 3D target.
There, IMHO, carbons are king.
FWIW I have access to an old Easton assembly line straightener, any time, sweet rig. Even with that availability, I'll run carbons (and yes, i could get bends out of aluminum near the ends- learned that long ago- have/had the knack
