You have to move it up and down to see what works best for you on each bow. I like mine at about 1/2" above the shelf.

I shoot 3 under and I just found out mine is 13/16th above. I had not heard any this high but I started a thread and for 3 under it is not uncommon. If you shoot split I hear it will be less than that(probably 1/2 or less) Just remember slightly high is more forgiving to poor release!

I have found that 5/8 to 7/8 works well for me. I start at 5/8 and start going up until I find the sweet spot. Hope this helps

Bare shaft shooting will tell you what nock height you need and I will sometimes tune my bows to shoot just slightly nock high, gives me better clearance and flight off the shelf. 1 of my BW is 9/16 the other is 3/4, 1 is tillered split the other is 3 under but I shoot split. My Hoyts are anywhere from 3/4-7/8in nock high, but most bows I have setup are all at least 1/2-3/4 range seems to work with most bows.

3/8" up from zero. Zero is perpendicular to the string from the flat part of the rest where the arrow sits. My arrow nocks under the string nock (tied dental floss).

So many variables--each bow is different, and you will discover what yours likes with experimentation. Tune the bow to shoot where you look.
