Whisperstick Bows?
«
on:
October 11, 2010, 10:10:00 AM »
Anyone have any information about Whisperstick Bows? I understand that the Bowyers name is JD Lund and that he is from Michigan. I was wondering if you have shot one or seen one if you would share your opinion of the Bows?
Thanks,
Tom

I have owned two of his three models. The Mojostick (one piece recurve) and a Kajika Stick (three piece recurve). Very quiet, fast and shootable bows. Very easy to tune also and shot a variety of shaft spines very well.

JD Lund is still making them, a friend of mine bought a bow from him just over a month ago,
and I can only say they are sweet shooters, fast and, when tuned right, quiet enough for a recurve!
The bows are very good at highlighting flaws in your form, and sensitive to errors.
This, to me, is a good thing as it helps develop you as an archer..
here is a link to pics and my friends thoughts!

This is my other one,a 48 lb.er.The riser is Macassor ebony and cocobolo and the limb veneers are quilted maple.I have yrt to get a photograph of this bow that clearly shows how beautiful the grain is in the maple. This one sure is fun to shoot.

I have a 56" mojostick 50# @ 28", zebrawood and kingwood riser with zebrawood limbs. Quickly became my favorite bow. I bought it from the classifieds on here. As many others have said, quiet, quick and affordable.

My 56"er is a rocket. Plus, you would be hard pressed to find a nicer guy to deal with. Great bows, great bowyer.

I have 2 of the mojostiks. One is 56" and 52@28 and is gorgeous with kingwood and tulipwood. The other is 60" and 60@28 all tulipwood. I am very impressed with them. They are quiet and shoot great.

My son has a 37# MojoStick and a 42# Kajikastick. I steal them every chance I get. Great bows, real shooters.
