Has anybody used the hand climber with another base? I'm thinking of getting one to use with my loggy base.

I have one and have used it with a couple different stands including the byou. No worries.

I haven't either but thinking of doing the same thing. I just can't find them used anywhere and the new ones aren't cheap.

You can buy the top half directly from LW for about $109. Looked into it myself a few weeks ago.

I own a loggy and a lone wolf. Should work fine.
Funny though - I never thought of using them together. Great idea. I love the old loggy base a lot, but I really dislike the loggy hand climber. So my loggy has collected dust since the lone wolf came along.
I gonna try it this weekend.

I've considered the same. I use a loggie lite, and I love it. I use it "old school" just hug the tree. Works fine, and I like the light weight, however I think the hand climber would be very handy for wet weather (no fun hugging a wet tree), and for multi-day hunts, when hugging the tree twice a day can start to take its toll after about the third day.

I've used my Summit hand climber with a Lone Wolf base. I can climb easier with that hand climber and the seat is much more comfortable.

I used it this weekend and must say it's great! It's made packing the stand so much lighter and quieter. As far as climbing it's like using the loggy climber but just a little shorter.

I used to pack my hand climber in my duffel when I hunted North Dakota. I like that seat the best for my longbow with no wire in the way. I'd use whatever base was available out there. Course I use my entire lone wolf at home...Doc

Before I found my LW base, I used the hand climber top with a Gorilla bottom. Worked fine, but works better with the LW base for me.
That HC Seat though is awesome all by itself - quick to put on a post or a tree, or just on the ground for a kneel pad if I need it.
