Stress lines

I have an old Bear bow with stress lines or cracks in the glass around the riser. The lines run vertical up and down the limbs for 2 or 3 inches. I've read that it is ok to shoot the bow, What do you guys think. Should I send it to Bowdoc?

Great question and I hope some of the experts see this. I have a 57 Kodiak that I love to shoot, but it has the same issue.

I've picked up several over the years that have these cracks. Never had a problem shooting them as is. I would think so long as they are just superficial you'd be fine.
