Back pack question
« on: October 19, 2010, 06:45:00 PM »
Just wondering what everybody uses for a pack pack and why? I own several old ones but in looking at pictures of past trad hunters, alot of them only use plaid shirts.
What did they do when they got an animal? If they field dressed the game where did they put the meat to take it back to camp?

Around home most farms I hunt I can drag them to where I can ge a truck or four wheeler. If I hunt somewhere with no access I have a elberlystock x2 but in some states you need a game cart  because you have to check them in in one piece.

I use a Mystery Ranch Crewcab pack for hauling the DB blind, treestand, and sometimes deer or elk meat. It is expensive but handles more weight than I can!
