Kids Arrows

Hey fellars,
I was wondering if any of ya'll might know an approximate size of shaft I need for my kids bows.  They are Easton Jazz arrows and are only about 3/16" diameter.  They don't have a size written on them anywhere.  They fly great out of their bows and I would like to buy them some more just like them.

My kids will shoot a couple hours everyday and in process of time, they have lost almost all of their arrows.  They go stumping by themselves after school before I get off work and have a bad habbit of coming home a little "short handed".  At least they are outside and not playing video games...

Any help would be appriciated.  Both of their bows are recurves, one is 21#@21" drawing 18" and the other is 25#@24" drawing 24".

I just got some Easton 1916 or 1917 for my sone and they are nice.Dicks had them for $20.00 a six.

most of the kids I see.. and my kid shoot whatever is in the quiver. if they are older and shooting with form and such it might make a difference but otherwise it's a good use of all the arrows you know use.

These kiddos are young, but they shoot alot and do have pretty good form.  They shoot on average about an hour a day.  I would like to get the same arrows I had, I will try to post pics, But I dont know if I have any good shot of their arrows.

My daughter had some Jazz Easton Arrows. They were a 1616.

My kids were shooting some 2016s and some 1916s and they were pretty happy with them until I bought them some full length 1716s. Huge difference. They could hit their target much better with the 1716s. Also, you could see the sideways "kick" when they shot the 2016s and 1916s. No kick with the 1716s, which boosted their confidence as well.

By the way, my kids shoot bows that are around 35#@28", so that makes them shooting in the low to mid 20#s at their shorter draw length, which they find very comfortable.

I'd go with a full length 1616 or 1716 with 100gr points. That should get you close then just adjust point weight as needed.

I made up a bunch of cedars in 1/4" x24" shafts.  This takes care of the younger grandkids and the older one has 5/16" cedars in 30-35#.

Easton still makes the small Jazz arrows.  Check out their website looking under target arrows.  Find the size you want and then find someone to order them for you if Easton doesn't sell direct to you.  I don't think they will.
