Wassaw generation III, final version?
« on: October 25, 2010, 07:42:00 AM »
Here is my third prototype of my "Wassaw".  She is 60" NTN and draws 53@28.  I'm liking this one, and think I may have the final version worked out.  Lot's of shooting ahead, and hopefully a kill this weekend!  What do my buddies think?

This one is perfect for my 28" draw.  She gains 2.5# per inch out to 28, and then gains 3.5# to 29, and then again at 30".  I think with a little longer tip wedge I can stretch it a little more.

Sweet!!

By 60" NTN, is that equal to AMO 63"?

Love the profile of that bow.

I think excellent work, as always, from you, Marty.  That is definetely a unique bow design you've captured there. The color tone is very appealing, too.

That would also translate to 60 AMO.  She takes a 57" string.

Nice work as always Marty........any plans to make it longer??

Ron, right now I'm thinking 60" and 62" for this one.  This is my fourth model that I will offer, and I'm still building the other three!  I'm just a small time kinda bow builder, and can't satisfy every niche!  :)   I was thinking that the vast majority of shooters have a 28" or shorter draw, and I would start by optimizing a bow for them.  :)

Looks real good!!!
I especially like it's move away from being a curve...
It looks as though you softened up the edges of the riser a little... although it could just be the difference from the grey actionwood of the previous model...  :dunno:

I am guess it is as smooth and accurate as your bows typically are known to be???

Looks good Marty, but I like the limbs without the skins a little better, just never been a fan of snake skinned limbs.  Can't wait to hunt with you again and shoot some arrows out of her, now get out there and kill something with it.

I've hunted with this one since Oct 2010, and now it's time to let her go.  You guys can find her on the sponsor's classfieds sub-forum.
