Those of you who are thinking about a Fall bear hunt in Northern Maine next year need to check out the new Hunt Reservation Special on the Hunters Point website (
www.hunterspointguideservice.com). It should help those of you with tight funds keep the dream alive. If you make a reservation before Dec.1, 2010, Eldon will honor this year's prices as they will be going up slightly for next year. There is also a downloadable form that you can print and mail in with your deposit and the dates you would like to hunt. If you need to stretch out you payments over time you also have that option.
In addition, if you live in the New England area, primarily Maine, NH and VT., Maine Public TV will be airing a documentary called "Stick and String" which features Hunters Point Bear hunts and documents Eldon taking a black bear with his Green Mountain longbow. The show will air at 11:00 AM Sat. Oct. 30, 2010, when everyone is hunting. So, you will have to set your recording device or you can order a copy of the DVD from Eldon's website (
www.hunterspointguideservice.com).
