Long bow bear hunt on TV
« on: October 28, 2010, 08:24:00 AM »
I thought I would put this tidbit in its own thread even though I mentioned it elsewhere.

For those of you in New England who can get the Maine Public TV they will be airing a documentary this Sat. at 11:00 AM entitles "Stick and String". The documentary is a hour long and features Eldon Jandreau of Portage, Maine discussing bear hunting and concludes with him shooting and trailing a bear he takes with his Green Mountain Longbow. If you will be out hunting at that time set your Tivo or DVR to record the show. If you live outside of the broadcast area the DVD can be purchased at  www.hunterspointguideservice.com.

In addition here is a link for a snapshot interview with Eldon and his thoughts about hunting bear with bows and arrows..
