Gettin' ready for Hog Heaven!
« on: October 28, 2010, 06:46:00 PM »
Well I will be traveling with my good friend Ronny (margly) to Hog Heaven in February '11 for some hawg huntin'  will be doing some spot and stalk and some treestand, so today I hung a treestand in my backyard so I can get some serious training in!
After South Carolina Ronny is heading back to Norway, but i will be travelling on to Georgia for a week og pig hunting down there afterwards  :D
Got a really great little treestand bow too....  A Red Wing Hunter, 52" short and 45# at 28" measured it at 47# at my 29" draw... I will be of course taking my DAS and  BD ILF riser too  :D
Any way some piks...
ASAT camo  :D

about 4/5 meters up..

gotta good feeling about this asat stuff, always used preadtor,, but this looks really good....

Ronny with his 58" Red Wing.....

Stand up and say it loud: I am a gap-shooter and proud!
(Although I sometimes use the force)

That Asbell wool jacket blends and breaks up the outline in surprisingly well....

Forsake the trees for stalking the swamps when you get there. The place is far too enchanting to spend too much time in one spot and not explore. Either way youre in for a treat. That ASAT is something else.Good luck.

Definately agree with Izzy! We had our best luck stalking the clear cuts between the feeders.

Cool pics--I also really like ASAT camo.  It looks like you have the right bow for the job!  Short bows=great tree stand bow
