Javelina Hunt

Heading out in the morning for a spot and stalk Javelina Hunt in South Texas. It doesn't get much better than being with friends afield, glassing the
country with stick and string in hand while reflecting on the moment. Not to mention lively campfire chat. Good hunting to all. Pics hopefully to follow.

Just got back in and had a great time. We always go south and east of Marathon, just out side of Big Bend. You can set and glass a lot of area and then plan your attack. Saw over 60 Javelina with a lot of Mule deer mixed in. Where the Javelina hang out can be pretty think bowzonly and it's not uncommon to lose some as I did.

choked back a tear when I saw the post. For a number of years I went out west to join a few friends in Arizona where we would chase elk or javelina in the fall and spring. No longer, as the my best friend and hunting buddy died this last spring. Enjoy while ya got it.
