Nope, not at all. It's all about the limb design. I have 2 Shrew recurves, a Scout and a Little Favorite. Zero string pinch at 28".

They are really a great bow and absolutly no pinch at my 28" draw.  I picked up the prototype from Ron at the Kalamazoo show and it is one of the best bows I have ever picked up.

I have a 54" bow (non shrew) that seemed to stack at my 28 1/2" draw.  I adjusted the brace height and it fixed it for me.

Ive never shot a Shrew but id like to own one id bet that it shoots great and pinch isn't an issue as shown above Ron knows his stuff im sure if it did pinch he wouldn't be shooting it and would change something. I have faith in him I wouldn't worry about a thing.

It is about limb design, the lil' favorite is smooth to 29"s at least and maybe a tad more. I am shooting a RER Arroyo 54"s, no pinch or stack all the way out to 30"s. Shawn
