Any Experiences w/ Fedora Recurves?
« on: November 10, 2010, 01:33:00 PM »
Was thinking about contacting them to have a bow built. Has anyone dealt w/ Fedora or shot any of their bows? Appreciate the input.

I have had several Fedoras over the years-RC and R/D longbows, and  have an R/D takedown (xtreme). Mike and Jason make excellent bows and run a great business. Ask for a demo bow to be sent out.

I have a Fedora 52" Stalker recurve that Mike finished for me in September.  I can't say enough good stuff about the bow as well as dealing with the Fedoras.  Both top notch!  The bow is smooth and accurate - I had it made with a bamboo core and clear glass over highly figured curly maple limbs & riser.  I even mixed up my own custom stain for him to use.  The Fedora grip is outstanding in my opinion.  I live about 45 minutes from their shop and have also greatly enjoyed getting to know Mike... a real "salt of the earth" kinda guy.  Tell Mike that "brother Gene" highly recommended him!  :)
