lams and glass, risers and glue
« on: May 28, 2007, 11:24:00 AM »
If you didn't know already, Woodshed hardwoods here in Boise Idaho recently closed thier doors.  I have purchased the bulk of my lams from them in the past, it's been real nice to be able to hand pick what I want.  But, alas, they decided to go a different direction.  The good news is they sold all thier stock to someone local who plans to start selling sometime in the near future.

But until then, I have been searching for a supplier (I bought my second kit from Binghams zebra riser and cocobolo vineered over amber action boo, anyway).... so I did a google  search and found a company I haven't heard of or seen advertised, "Bowstick" and thier claim to fame is making Hollywood bows for the movies.

They have some good deals, and I really, really hope I am not stepping on any sponsors toes here, my main objective is to see if anyone has tried this "shreded" fiberglass that they claim is like sinew?  They also have some riser and lam woods that are a bit unusual... and a glue too that I couldn't find much on when I searched.

Anyone....?
