Similar results in Kansas?

Last weekend was awesome. I saw lots of deer moving, BUT this weekend was terrible for me. I only saw a couple does and young bucks in a spot where I always see good deer. I was pretty frustrated so I put the bow away and shot quail. Just wondering if anyone had similar results and if so, why do you think this weekend wasn't very productive? Full moon? Hot weather? Late rut? What do you think?

I'm thinking the bucks are locked down with their preferred female companions; rest of the season will probably run in fits & spurts...
YMMV

Last weekend really kicked off the rut here in unit 11. There was good action all week, then Sat. was slow. This morning I had a real nice eight and a three point came thru. Both looked tired and the little guy had his tongue hanging out. I think the receptive does grabbed most of the guys, but it will pickup this week again. I expect Thursday and Friday to be real good with the cold front coming in.I'm sure I'll regret all the shots I had at does and small bucks that I let walk this week(4 shots at one sitting).Kevin, the big one entered the creek bottom right at your stand.

Busy week deer running everywere but a slow weekend. My son did see a buck chasing a doe yesterday on his way home from the stand.

Had a real nice 10 pointer cruise by at 30 yds around 3:30 yesterday. As my buck tag is filled, and I was hunting does, I decieded to see how far I could push him with a grunt tube. I did keep him interested for about 5 minutes. He seemed to be on a slow travel, looking for does, I expect.
