Next year's deer in the making
« on: November 23, 2010, 01:06:00 PM »
I went out to my whitetail spot this morning; the wind was howling and it went from 2 below zero to 35 degrees in about an hour. I decided to see if the deer were active, and this is the show I got to witness.....

In about 10 minutes, this little buck mounted three different does. I'll let him grow and sow his seed, and maybe he will be a good bit bigger next year.

If I had to choose how I was going to die, it would be just like that buck, but being married, it would take me 7 years to reach that mark.  I wonder if they think the same way as us?

It's comforting to know that he's capable of doing his thing in that kind of wind chill.

Cool picture,
I watched a buck chase every doe in
the woods 2 weeks ago.  He finally
climbed on top of one at 11:00.

Good stuff.

That's cool. I've seen a lot of chasing, but never witnessed it in person.
