Wing bone call from thanksgiving dinner?

Can I use the wing bone from my thanksgiving day turkey to make a wing bone call? Or do I need to remove the wing before its cooked?
Thanks,
Scott

I am no expert, but have done it both ways. If you want the end result to be a cleaner whiter product then remove prior to cooking. Remove meat and marrow before lightly cooking in water and dish soap. If the wing is left on then the grease will cook into wing bone and is harder to remove and can be more challenging to get white. I have not done it, but I am sure you could always submerge in peroxide overnight? Wing bone calls are fun to make and challenging to master!

So making it out of the bones after its been cooked is only an issue of aesthetics?
I think I may do a build along for this project...

Just had some turkey for dinner and was thinking the same thing. If you do a build along, that would be great!
