Grouse and rabbits are great fun  :)

Varmints, here in California some years our ground squirrel population goes nuts. You can't walk 20 feet in any direction and not step in a hole. My buddy owns a cattle ranch and begs us to shoot them. It's great off season practice and there are thousands of them.

Texas hogs would be my choice. Most will let you hunt them. No limits or season. The added bonus is they are good to eat.

Joe, they are considered pests to the ranchers like rodents. I guess if a guy was real hungry? Normally I am hunting hogs on this ranch. They eat better  :)
