56" PCH ???
« on: November 24, 2010, 08:36:00 PM »
OK, anyone with a 56 inch PCH. How do you like that short of a bow? Did you notice any negative effect to your shooting? compared to say a 60" bow. Thinking of trading for a 56" but I am a little concerned with the length. I draw about 28 1/2 inches.
Thanks

Should be no problem. A 56" PCH has the same working length limb as a 60" PMA. I draw 30" and shoot a 58" PCH without a problem. Great shooting bows.

I have a 56inch PCH and love it. Real smooth draw and really zips an arrow. Great hunting bow i have owned two 60inch Widows i don't think i  am sacrificing any thing. TD.

BW’s recommendation for a PCH 56”r is a 24” to 28” draw.

I would believe BW would take full advantage of extending the draw range if there wasn’t a reason.

My suggestion would be to contact BW with your concern. Please share your findings.

I have a PCHX 58"  I think the shorter bows are great for close shots 20yds or less.

Own a 60" PSA and went a 56" PCH. I draw 28" and the PCH is my favourite of the two.  I find it just as nice and easy to shoot as the longer PSA.

Making the time to hunt with either is the hardest part of owning these great bows.

I have 3 PSA in the 58" lenght and I have your same draw and I like them also at longer distances. The PCH has a shorter riser with longer limbs so the 56" would be just perfect for me since it has the same geometry.

I have a 60" PSA and owned a 58" that shot great for me it was just a little heavy. Dont think the 56 would be a problem. The guys at BW didnt seem to think it would be a problem.
Thanks for the imput

I also draw 28.5" and though I do not own a PCH, I do have a 56" PSR 55# @ 28". It draws smooth and shoots fine for me.
