Some people consider a reverse handle and a forward handle the same. Here is a good example of a reverse handle "grip".. After you pull the first picture up, click on the reverse handle and it will give you a strung profile picture. Hope this helps and maybe some other folks will jump in.

Yep that's it ,I have a Green Mt. longbow with a reverse handle,makes for a nice shooting bow.

here is another comparison... a pair I built this summer plus another forward riser I did last month:
I use a deep locator on my forward risers, gives it a real nice feel.
The general feeling is that the forward or reverse riser is more forgiving. I costs a couple of fps, but at least with that deep locator, it gives an extra inch of draw.

It just comes down to personal preference. I don't care how fast they shoot, how smooth the draw is or how quiet they are. Speaking only for myself, I find forward handle (reverse handle) bows ugly to look at. This turns me completely off to them.
