Not quite yet. A few guys up in the northern part of the State have reported seeing a little chasing going on.
I'm finding lots of rubs & scrapes, but I haven't heard of any rut activity down here yet. (I haven't seen any bucks at all, so I can't comment first-hand!)

I ain't in TN, but i have noticed some strange stuff this year.  I have noticed the pre-rut taking off, then its like it fizzled out.  i have not seen any hard pre-rut, chasing, gasping for air deer acvtivity yet.  Kinda' different.

Been seeing bucks chasing does since Nov.6. I have killed two bucks chasin does. Killed one answering a bleat call, after I saw him trailin a bunch of does. Came into my scented up area lickin his lips, snout in the air trying to find her, gruntin as he went. Seem to have slowed some. I think the mature bucks are hemmed up with HOT does, the little bucks are still cruisin, at least thats what Ive been seein.   Shelby, Fayette, Hardeman and LBL. Find the does and you will find the bucks.I have hunted about 30 days so far, and a couple of half days.  The guys I hunt with around me have been seeing the same kinda activity.

I've not seen much chasing either.  Have a couple of buddies who have killed bucks that were chasing though.

I saw one chasing tonight,  a small buck but hot on her and pushing hard. The first one I have seen chasing this year.

I hunt up at St Joe and have not seen any chasing yet. I did see a young buck following a doe but not chasing. I killed a doe last Sunday morning that had stinking tarsal glands so the rut is just around the corner.

I have noticed a substantial jump in buck sign when on foot at work. They are chasing up in the north east corner of the state, especially at night in the fields. Business is booming!

Im in the very North Part of MS.  I hunt with half my land in TN and the other half in MS.  The past four days I have seen four shooter bucks.  They were scraping and rubbing 3 weeks ago.  Killed a 9pt searching while trying to kill a big 8 in full chase.  I have seen 2 big ones chasing madly.  Best I have ever seen.  Went out last night though and didn't see or hear any activity.

I hunted northwest of Nashville before Thanksgiving and they were chasing like nobodies business. I could practically do cartwheels before they would notice I was in the woods with them.
