I've been fooling around with a few different arrows and broadheads lately, and thought I'd toss up a question or two.
My bow setup is a Black Creek Banshee 55@28". I'm drawing it to 31", so it's pulling around 62# for me.
I've got 3 arrow setups that shoot equally as accurate.
1. GT 7595, 600 grains, estimating around 190 fps
2. AD Hammerhead, 700 grains, around 175 fps
3. GT 5575, 550 gr, around 200 fps
I don't know why the 5575 doesn't show weak, but it flies like a dart. I do have it cut shorter than the others, at 31.5. At any rate, the Hammerhead is quieter, but not much more. They are all equally accurate for me and the broadheads hit with the field points, with some minor nock point adjustments. So, which would you choose for hogs?
Now for the broadhead question. I've got some, in order of width, some Simmons Tiger Sharks, some Eclipse heads, and some Stos. They all look comparably sturdy, with maybe the Stos being a little tougher. The Simmons is a little noisier in flight, but it sure looks like it will cut a mean hole. It is substantially wider.
I know this is all semantics and any of these will be more than adequate, but entertain me for a spell. Which would you chose for hogs?
