My wife scheduled our wedding in September, after I specifically told her not to due to hunting season.  After I got over being annoyed, I told her we were going hunting for the honeymoon.  She agreed and we're still married, so some women get it.  Your GF may not understand your passion, but as long as she is still there when you get home, what's the problem?  If she wants more QT with you, offer to bring her along.

What is your question?
Most of us would be doing the same or something simular.
Good luck.

A party on Saturday evening instead of hunting Sunday?  I would give the girlfriend Friday evening, be on stand Saturday morning, and spend the rest of the weekend hunting.  Yes, I am married and the wife understands, she does not always like it, but she understands.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

My wife and I did a fly in fishing trip to Ontario for our honeymoon. She knows Sept is elk hunting month. October is deer. She doesnt elk hunt, but loves to deer hunt. She will go on her own on days I can't( which are rare now that Im retired). She never complains if Im goin huntin when shes at work, or off doing something. Just tells me to bring her home some venison.

I made the right call dumping a couple that would whine, cuz I have the best huntin and fishin partner  I could ask for. We do  lot together, but she also knows I do some trips that are a bit too adventerous for her. Life is good.

Go huntin,do what ya gotta do. They'll either be there when ya get back, or they won't. Either way, you'll know the deal.
...stood alone on a montaintop, starin out at a great divide, I could go east, I could go West, it was all up to me to decide, just then I saw a young hawk flyin and my soul began to rise......

I live in Grand Rapids michigan, but hunt in Illinois half the year. Up at 2:00am, in the tree at first light, sometimes only for one day's hunt, then back home sometimes not till 12-2 in the morning. My wife thinks I'm nuts but loves me anyway.
Love the Lord, love your wife and kids, work hard, hunt harder

Consider yourself very fortunate to have such a fine piece of ground to hunt on.....with so much potential for big bucks. Lots of guys would give their left jewel to have a place like that to hunt. I know because we lost our big buck paradise in February to a big "Pay to Hunt" operation on the opposite side of our fence.
They started buying up all the property adjoining to theirs.

It was just a matter of time before they bought our property out from under us.

The moral of this story is.........You could end up like me and find yourself with no place to hunt next season, because stuff just happens.
Screw the stupid party.........go hunt!
I would consider this a time to beg for forgiveness rather than ask for permission.
Enjoy your little piece of heaven while you can and take nothing for granted!

Now go getta Biggun!

who plans to go to a party during deer season. It is better to let her learn now before you get married or something.

Reminds me of a Brad Paisley song;
Well I loved her, but,
I love to fish. ...
Bragging may not bring happiness,
but no man having caught a large fish, goes home through the alley.
