I carry mine tucked under my left arm, keeps it out of the way and secure.

Pretty much whatever part of the bow is handy at the time.  When walking out of the woods I carry it over my shoulder alot.

I do both.generally I use the handle,but I do carry my bow on the string sometimes

Bears can attack people- although fewer people have been killed by bears than in all WWI and WWII combined.

I carry mine by the handle.  When I was on crutches earlier this year, I got one of those hands-free bow-slings that allows you to carry it across your shoulder or back so I could hobble around my backyard and practice a bit.
