Sinew for do it yourself grip.....
« on: December 12, 2010, 04:59:00 PM »
If I were to do a leather or beavertail grip on my own and wanted to lace it up with sinew,  what size sinew should I use? Ive seen #30 and #70....and I would imagine there are more sizes?

Depends on how heavy your leather is, but I expect the 70# artificial sinew (it's not real sinew)  would work the best.

I used to use artificial sinew for lacing on leather grips, now I prefer to use a waxed linen thread.I get that at Tandy and you can get it in natural, black and brown.
