Pour 2 cups of water in a shallow ceramic or glass tray. Bring to a boil. While the water is heating up pour some very hot water in the sink, with a couple shots of Joy dish soap in. Put all your feathers in there until the water in the dish comes to a boil. Turn off the heat, and add one cup of vinegar to the dish and add a pack of Koolaid ( color is your choice) to the mix. Stir until the Koolaid is totally dissolved. Take your feahters from the sink ( no need to rinse them off) and lay them into the mix. I leave mine in for 7 mins ( longer if you want a darker color). Remove them, rinse them under cold water and lay them on a couple sheets of paper towels until dry. I usually do this before i chop them.

Contact 3Rivers Archery.  I ordered a packet of dye.  It is a small envelope, but there is enough to make 1 gallon.  Heat the gallon of water to nearly a boil, add the dye, stir.  Your done.  Put your feathers in the mixture for about 1 minute.  Remove and let dry.  Works good for me.  They have many colors to chose from.  When you are done, pour into a gallon jug to store.  Don't let it freeze and break.
Problem I have seen with the koolaid mix, is the dye comes off on your bow and hands in time and the colors are not as sharp.
Be sure to use an emamel pan for this.  I found an old roaster pan.  It will stain nearly everything!
Just my opinion
