I second the Ambush Recurve and Anawakee bows.

Yes, it IS Dave Beeler!    :knothead:       "[dntthnk]"   I am such a knuckle head! I work with a guy named Bob Beeler and I always seem to get the two names confused! Thanks for the correction. I will edit my original post.

After shooting my wife's NAT from Lost Creek I would have to say it is the best short recurve I have have ever shot, even though it is not a recurve.  Although if one is looking more for the shape of the limb it does not qualify for what you are looking for.  As for handling and overall performance and accuracy, it beats my 52" 52 lb.Pearson, which I draw to 27".

In my opinion Cascade is by far the best short recurve there is!

I have a Shrew Lil' Favorite I bought here on TradGang and love it!  You'll find Shrews on sale here every now and again.  You can avoid the wait by networking on here, if that is discouraging you.  Lots of good suggestions above as well!

Good Luck!

I have a 52 inch Cascade Golden Hawk and love it.  All of my friends, up to 30+ inch draw length, love it and are in the process of saving up to buy one.  They said they experienced no finger pinch or stacking.  I have a short draw length so it is much less of an issue for me.

I would agree also with the  Cascade 52" it is the best short bow I have shot.  And the wait is usually short. A second would be to get a KT44 if you really want a short bow.

Another vote got the Lost Creek bows. I have two. Great short bows that shoot like a dream. Call Chad and at least talk to him.

Annewakee Addiction recurve from John Dill. You can also get a great bowquiver made by John that realy gives you a nice hunting setup. These bows pull smooth and give you great performance.

I suggest you consider Dan Toelke's 52" recurve. I have shot a couple of them. I have a 29" draw and can tell you there is nothing not to like about these little bows. There is absolutely no stacking, no unpleasant finger pinch, they are VERY quick and with B50, like all Dan's bows they are QUIET! There are 2 or 3 on his website  www.montanabows.com,  first click "current inventory" then "traditional recurves" to see them.
