Thanks Bjorn, OL made me a 62" one pc. Out of all my bow (#$$) my friends and I think it is the best shooter. EM was bummed. He has a longbow with the same specs and it broke his heart to compare. I think his longbow is his best friend! I have caught him talking to it.    I hope to get one of Dave Windauer's longbows in 2011.

I also have to agree with Doc....OL is a great friend.   I am fortunate to have spent a few weeks with him several years ago.

Just stopped in to see the gang....have been gone for too many years -  good to be back!

Andy,
Last I heard he was still in Roswell, but his parent has been in decline for several years and it would seem that is all he's focused on from reports here and elsewhere.

Dealing with my own father who had a stroke last spring, is now in a nursing home nearby, visiting daily after 11 hr work-day, including travel, trying to close his apt... I can only imagine how totally over-whelmed OL is... and his dedication to his parent was something of legend.

I only hope I'm doing 1/10 the job I know he was doing for his loved one.

The whole biz side of things that flew about here a while back, I know nothing.  I'm sure some might judge me later thinking I could/should have done more in my dealings w/ my Dad, but they're not here to ease the burden.
For the first time in my life, I sometimes miss paying MY bill on time! Never happened but fighting for Dad's care, dealing with doctors, nursing home people... has changed a lot of things so I will never judge another in such circumstances.

I only hold memory of OL showing tremendous friendship, patience and caring in his dealings with me over the years.

I hope he is well.
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!
