I dont have one ,but have seen several and they are awsome .Mr.Yancey{pinehollow longbows}is a fine man and very accomplished hunter and has a great catalog of bow building equipement, and all things traditional archery and has been featured in Primitive archer on several occasions.I would highly encourage that you send for one,{a catalog}and or call him up.His bows that I have seen are usually osage orange self bows that he really show his talent and his experiance.A wealth of knowledge.

I know Mike and will stand up for him anywhere, anytime. He's most definitely one of the good guys.

Yes! he is an accomplished bow hunter too.

My 2 cents worth!

Is there an echo here?   ;)   I haven't shot his bows (unfortunatly), but I can speak for his service for sure.  If you get ahold of one of his bows let us know how to do.  I don't doubt that they are superb.

I have one of his you finish hickory longbows.  My wife ordered it for me several Christmas' ago.  It took me quite a while to finish because of time.  My wife had called several other places and did not feel she was treated well.  When she called Mr. Yancey he was extremely nice, helpful, and did not treat her badly (because she was a female or because she did not know much about bows).  I love the bow.          Paul

This is a sinew-backed osage TD that Mike built for me.  58", 50# @ 28".

These bows are extremely labor-intensive, and require a lot of dry-time between layers of sinew.  Lots of artistic detail as well.  Strung with FF, this bow shoots hard;  actually gets heavier (5#?) in this cold, dry weather....

Mike will discuss with you exactly what you want, and build to your specs.  Highly recommended
