quick on/off quiver options???

Am looking for a quiver - I like to 'carry' arrows in on the bow and then remove the quiver and hang on tree etc when hunting - prefer to shoot with nothing on the bow. What are options? I know Great Northern is among those carried by TG sponsors - others??? positives/negatives?? A couple of searches turned up little.

Matt, what kind of bow? One piece, longbow, recurve, takedown, three piece? Depends on what you want to put it on.

I know you said bow quiver but you should also consider a tube type side quiver . I have two Dawgware quivers and they fit that style well with not wanting anything on the bow. jmho  Drew

Well, I'm going to share the slickest quiver I have and I'm hunting with it this year.  It's the ArrowWeb by Mathews archery.  The quiver  mounting bracket will fit in the mounts for kwikee quivers (close inserts). The quiver simply twists on and off. I have the T5. I put three broadheads and one Judo in it. It hangs in the tree until I'm ready to climb down. It is absolutely silent. You do have to be careful twisting it off its bracket though as metal on metal sound can occur -- do it careful and there is zero sound.

I know it was made for compounds. It doesn't look very traditional with a plastic camo hoos and metal parts but it works extremely well.

I use a Kwikee Kwiver, easy on easy off! The only problem I have with it, I think it needs to be a ittle longer. Jason

More detail: i want a quick on/off quiver for a take down recurve. Someone mentioned a side 'tube style' quiver - how's this work when you are dealing with broadheads???  i might be convinced of this option - input???

Matt, I use the GFA quiver quite a bit and really like the simplicity and versatility of this style of carry!

I use the Bohning quick attach quiver. It will mount in the kwikee inserts and doesn't dull your broadheads. Very easy on and off.

The Great Northern Q.D. syatem has been working for me for 10 years since I tried one.It is the best quiver I have found since 1974 when I started bowhunting,light plenty strong, quite and on and off in seconds also holds the arrows in a compact bundle feathers not all fanned out.I put a small plastic hook on the top bar and hangs the bow in perfect position on a screw in hook if I do not want to remove it.Kip

Tube style like the SafariTuff is a great quiver, and works well with broadheads. If you want a quick detach bowquiver, look at Big Jim's. It is inexpensive and well thought out.

Kwikee Kwiver, simple, cheap, effective.

I buy extra mounting brackets and affix them to my stands. Once in the stand I remove my quiver from the bow and put it in the quiver mount on the stand. That mount holds my quiver securely and my arrows are close by.

I like to shoot without one on the boow and take them off on stand. I have not found anything better than the kwikee kwiver mount options.  I would like a more trad style, but can not find anything.  Right now none of my bows have that style insert.  For now I am using my arrow master.  The only time I would rather not use that is when I have a pack and stand to hall.  At those times I woild rather have the arrows on the bow.  I have not tried the GN quick detach one. I may look at it, but I don't know that it has as rigid a connection between parts as most kwikee kwivers.

I use the Great Northern Adjustable.  Easy on and off and the rubber straps work well for hanging it in the tree
