Tim just refinished a Classic TD recurve for me (didn't really need it but I wanted the grip taken down a bit). It is indeed beautiful and really has a lot of pop. He told me about his new Carbon Classic recurve limbs. He puts the carbon only in the recurved tips to reduce weight and make them semi-static. Sounds like good science to me. He says they add around 5 fps to the original limbs.

Tim is a really great bowyer and one hell of a nice person.
I have purchased several bows from him. I have an old, short, carbon backed one piece tree stick that I started with and cannot part with. It pulls 52@28 and is the smoothest pulling bow I have. I have a recurve that is so beautifully made I dont even shoot it. Tim gets mad at me for this - but it is truly a work of art. My favorite is his three piece tree stick. It is a great bow.
