Dude, I couldn't be happier for you! Monster bow especially the weight. You'll slide into it like a good glove.

a word of caution, make sure you can pull and shoot it comfortable, not sure of your circumstances but you indicated that it might be a little to much poundage, some serious bad habits are started by to much poundage, but if you know that going in and work at it it shouldn't be a problem, The history of the bow should give you the incentive to do it right.

I have my dad's old Bear Grizzly, along with his original cedar arrows and broadheads.  I've been hunting with it this year, would be really neat to get something with it.

That's a great gift given to you from your father. Train for the heavier weight, practice a lot and it will produce for you.

Great bow, super Dad!

My son and I don't share dominant eyes so I can't pass to him one of my lefties, at least for anyting other than display. I'm hoping one of my grandsons will be left-eye dominant.

Its been little over 3 months and now I am shooting it with no problems. With it being 66@29 and myself having a 28.5 inch draw i thought I would have a problem with its draw weight. Now Im going to use for turkeys and deer and what ever else this year brings.

Picture of my Turkey set up with it.
Schafer Silvertip Recurve 62 inch 66@29. Carbon Express Predators II's at 30.5 inches and most likely 175 graing VPA Terminators up front.
