Robertson Coyote
« on: December 26, 2010, 07:35:00 PM »
I came across a guy that has a Roberton Coyote longbow.  It is 56" 45# @28".  Neat little longbow, but I have never heard of this model.  Anyone ever have any experience with one?

Might the guy just have had Dick put a name on the bow for him, or perhaps done it himself later?  No model named Coyote that I know of by Robertson.  Of course, his son's name is Yote.  Maybe it was his personal bow.   :dunno:

I don't think that it is Yote's bow, the word "Coyote" is in the same location as "Mystical" on my Robertson.  The paint, font, etc is the same as the rest of the writing.  It may be a youth model with the short length and that it only has two laminations on the back whereas my Mystical has three laminations.

The one in the original post is 56" 45# a 28".  I think the 28" draw is optimistic, as I have a 27" draw and it feels like it hits a wall when I come to anchor.  It is basically a scaled down Mystical as far as I can tell, minus one lamination.  Nice bow.  My sister in law shoots it now.

I wouldn't have any reservations buying another one for a youth or short draw shooter.
