String life

What's the life of a string not being used?

For example...if I order five strings, but only use one per year, will the other strings be fine by the time I get to them?

Just wonderin if a string can degrade to the point that it's not as strong as it was new.

I would think that as long as not allowed to dry rot,you keep the wax reasonably fresh, that scenario should be ok. I know I have a few that are much older that I would use if needed.

UV light might have an effect over time. You might check with the string materials maker or their website.
