New and need arrow advice

Im new to the site and just wanted to say hi and see if some people on here can help me out.

i have few trad bows now that i shoot just for fun and just buy what ever cheap arrows i can find to launch out of it. been spending most of my cash on top of the line stuff for my compounds for 3d shooting and hunting.

started shooting my bear kodiak more and more and having way more fun. so i just ordered a bow and its im the being biult process.

its a hybrid long bow 66" and will be around 45# at my 26.5 dl

now my question is what arrows will work good at my specs and how should i make them up?  it confuesses me. i want a good hunting worthy arrow cause i plan to take this out hunting in a few years after i get really comfortable and confident in my shooting.

i rather stick too carbon arrows and ones that are priced good for a dozen since im most likly going to be losing arrows haha.

some one said for this set up beman ics 500 cut to 28" with a 200gr tip should work well for this set up but thought i would get some other recommandations.

have a link??  whats wrong with them?  blem carbon arrow kinda makes me nervous without knowing whats blem.  messed up logo? not as straight?  maybe i just worry to much haha

also it just have to be deer worthy. our deer are usually under 200# as well so nothing huge

This is a great site... how deep your riser is cut will make a difference...I shoot mid 40 longbows cut to center and a few just shy of center...i've had best luck with .600 spine arrows cut to 28.25 with 175 grains up front... ce75, goldtip 1535, beman 600, ce predator 20/40s, are all examples of 600 spine carbons... most of these will put you around 430 grain arrow which will be between 9-10 grains per pound for your set up. My personal opinion is that a .500 spine arrow will need to be left at least 30" and front loaded to work in your set up.  Unless your new bow is cut past center.

ill talk to the builder and see how he cuts them. he recommanded the beman set up but im just getting more info and trying to make sure im ordering something that we be close.  thanks for your response.  been shooting compounds to long.

i have about 4 weeks before my bow will be done, cant wait

sawtooth, the Big Jim's blems are blems in the finish and not in the shaft itself. Most of the blems I have from Big Jim's don't look like blems at all unless you get really close, and even then the only thing blemished about mine I've ever found has been in the finish, that being the wood grain dip coat that GT puts on the tradtionals that Big Jim's sells. The shafts are great and very very reasonable, and you can't ask for a better guy to deal with. Look for his ad in the Trad Sponor list up at the top of the main pages in the drop down box. If you need any other help I'm sure you can find it here. Also your setup is very similar to what I shoot, so if you want my .02 worth shoot me a PM and I'll tell you what my setup is.

My two pieces of advice would be to look at "Stu's spine calculater" program that's attached to another thread going on right now.  It's probably one of the best tools out there for getting you close to the right arrow fit for a type of bow that I've seen.  The second is that if you're looking at carbon arrows, I'd recommend the Easton Axis line.  I've tried Arrow Dynamics, Grizzly Sticks, Vapor Carbonwood,and Beman MFX. The Easton Axis, front loaded, is the best hunting arrow in my opinion.

the axis arrows are pretty nice. i use to use them out of my compound.

that calc is pretty sweet. according to it the arrow the builder recommanded is pretty close to what it recommands.  pretty cool how you can play with lengths and see finished weights.
