Spine?

When an arrow hits the strike plate about 6 inches in front of the fletch, is the arrow showing spine weak or stiff?  Bill

To me it is showing a stiff spine.  Shoot it from 5 or 10 feet away and see if it is entering the target nock right.  If so it is too stiff.  Then try reducing the strike plate thickness, increasing point weight, or increasing brace height.

Arrow flight is good.  The bow is a RH 40# Kodiak Magnum, the arrows are CE 30-50, 29" BOP, 125 grain points.  I draw 28".  I am shooting it LEFT HANDED with a thumbring.  The srrike plate is about as thin as you can get and still have one.  I have a streak being wore in the crest, which is how I know the arrow is making contact.  Bill

I vote for 175+ grain tips.

thats the problem your release is sending the string in toward the riser instead of away from it as would happen in normal right handed shooting...id say your arrow is just fine...
